Job Description:
The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to plan and
direct food preparation in kitchens. Management-level associates
are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to
complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates overtime
does apply and is calculated accordingly. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in a high-volume,
full-service restaurant. Ability to work independently and handle
complex issues. Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Ability to manage financial data and basic math. Strong
communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability
to work in a high-pressure environment and maintain composure.
Responsibilities: Create innovative menus that align with the
restaurant's vision. Train kitchen staff on policies, sanitation,
and safety regulations. Organize schedules and oversee kitchen
operations. Design and execute aesthetic plating presentations.
Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are met. Manage kitchen
inventory and budget. Maintain friendly, service-oriented
interactions with guests and staff. Ensure kitchen staff meets job
expectations and performance standards. Address customer concerns
and resolve issues efficiently. Minimize waste, spoilage, and
overproduction. Review forecasts, house counts, and VIP lists.
Monitor banquet and catering activities, and maintain kitchen
inventories. Assist in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and
