Join Our Team as a Pediatric Radiologic Technologist!
At DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our young patients. As a pediatric radiologic technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity and review medical records for appropriateness of exam or procedure.
  
• Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and/or psychological indicators.
  
• Explain procedures to patients, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up.
  
• Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per script.
  
• Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to radiologists.
  
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
  
• Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
  
• Participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
  
• Able to take call/standby as required by the department.
  Requirements:
  
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
    
  • Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period.
